Question 1

Should I choose 3G or 4G?

Accepted Answer

For a new installation, we recommend 4G where your mobile network supports it. Choose 3G when its network compatibility and lower purchase price suit your needs.

Question 2

How does the Matrix Blackbox work?

Accepted Answer

A small hardware tracker is installed inside your asset with a compatible SIM card and a suitable power connection. It operates independently of the laptop operating system. GPS provides position where reception allows; mobile data or usable open Wi-Fi sends online reports.

Question 3

Can it find a laptop stolen before installation?

Accepted Answer

No. The Blackbox must be installed and configured before the asset goes missing. Buying one afterwards cannot create a tracking connection to an already missing laptop.

Question 4

How much is shipping?

Accepted Answer

Delivery within Kenya is free. International DHL shipping is estimated from the combined cart weight at 125 g per Blackbox. Hardware prices exclude tax. Checkout is in USD.
